Dating Ideas in Singapore
Where to go to enjoy romance on a date Certainly, Singapore does seem a small place after living here for years, and the weather may seem too hot at times. But fret not, there`s still lots to do, places to go, things to do.

Upper Pierce Reservoir Park

Truly as natural a nature reserve can be in Singapore, this park lies across and within view of Singapore`s highest hill, Bukit Timah Hill which stands at a venerable 165 metres high. Often the site of family picnics, with kids running around the grassy fields, and couples enjoying the picturesque scenery. Beware too the monkeys who dot the approach into the park. The main gate closes at 7 pm, however, so do heed the siren that wails 15 minutes before closing time to prevent being trapped in the park overnight.

Lower Pierce Reservoir Park

Just off Thomson road, with a small discreet carpark that is often frequented by couples with rather more amorous intentions, this park is quiet, green and peaceful. The evenings are perfect for quiet walks to enjoy the tranquility and scenery, a picnic with a loved one, or even a short jog together. The nights are quiet, with occasional couples walking about or resting on the benches enjoying a quiet conversation.

West Coast Park

Although situated near industrial areas and commercial wharfs, this park, cleaned up recently and renovated really nicely, boasts what is arguably the most beautiful McDonald's restaurant in Singapore, with an adjoining McCafe and is popular with small families in the evenings and the weekends. It is not too busy and you can get a little privacy here at most times, and this place is nice for a romantic stroll in the evenings.

East Coast Park

The busiest park in Singapore, crowded with joggers, in-line bladers, cyclists in the evenings and the weekends. Stretching over 10 km long from Changi Airport to Marina Bay, it can be difficult to find a parking lot on the weekends. The area between the Big Splash, McDonald's and the East Coast Hawker Centre are usually crowded with a relatively young crowd hanging out enjoying the sunny weather, enjoying sports or a simple barbeque. There's not much chance of privacy here, but if you and your date are hot on blading and working out, you could work out a sweat together and enjoy the energetic atmosphere. Take a romantic stroll over the less crowded eastern end if you prefer more peace and quiet. Btu do note that the easternmost carpark 'H' remains a favourite hangout for amorous couples.

Kent Ridge Park

Familiar to local graduates of the National University of Singapore, this relatively deserted park boasts superb views of the southern region of Singapore. Enjoy peace and quiet in the afternoons and evenings and you can have the whole park to yourself past sunset. Relatively decent food can be found at the nearby Pasir Panjang and Holland Village areas.

Mount Faber Park

Lack of parking lots is one of the few flaws of this park which boasts a few drinking holes and a cable car station. Beautiful views all around from the top of the hill, but this place is relatively crowded on most evenings. For a small price, enjoy a ride to Sentosa, where you can enjoy the city view from high up and enjoy a few minutes of total privacy. Beware though, it doesn`t pay to shake the cable car too violently whatever you do.
